And now, a representative Gil Kane cover from the '70's. It's from Master of Kung Fu #32.
It's not one of his best, but is a fairly nice action shot featuring
Shang -Chi. I probably would have liked this better if Gil had inked it himself.

  1. Kane was one of those artists who knew how to minimize effort for maximum effect. He could turn out those covers and pages at an impressive rate. I've often wondered if he could (or did) out-produce Kirby for sheer number of penciled pages. They say that Kirby penciled 1200 pages of comic art in 1962 alone. Did Kane ever match (or exceed) that rate?
